Q: What are TP1 and FEI numbers?

A: To be compliant with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, E-liquid companies must registered each product with the FDA to receive a TP1 number. This is a FDA identification for the product.

The FEI is a facility registration number, which any e-liquid manufacturer is required to have and is obtained by registering their facility with the FDA.

Q: What does a TP1 and FEI number tell you?

A: If a product has a TP1 number, it means that the e-liquid has been registered with the FDA. This is required to legally sell the product online or in stores. All Space Jam products have been registered and have TP1 numbers. We do not publicly share these numbers, as they are meant to be private verifications of registration.

You can review proof of registration here

If you have any questions regarding this, please email regulatory@spacejamjuice.com
The FEI number shows that a company has registered with the FDA to manufacture e-liquid products. Our FEI number is 3012923181

Q: Does a TP1 number mean a product is FDA approved?

A: No. The TP1 number shows that the product has been registered with the FDA, not that the FDA has approved the product. To our knowledge, no e-liquid on the market has received PMTA approval. Currently, PMTA submissions are due by 2022.

Q: What does pre-8/8 and post-8/8 mean?

A: On August 8, 2016, the FDA put all nicotine e-liquid products in the category of being “tobacco products” under the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act. There were many regulations that came into effect on this date that effected all avenues of the industry.

These regulations include restrictions on selling products online, product registrations, product ingredient registrations, prohibition on certain marketing tactics, and many others. On August 10th of this year, there were additional labeling requirements put into place and Space Jam is 100% compliant with the new requirements.
